How
to set up email on your computer:
The
directions vary from each email client and each version
of the email client. For example, Outlook 2000
email set up will look slightly different than Outlook
2007. Basically you must navigate to the Email
Account Setup section of your email client, then simply
fill in the blank fields with the appropriate info.

In this example we have set up a
email box for "Chuck Farsworth" whose domain is "www.pepper.com".
Lanitech will provide you
with your settings as seen here:

User Information
Name: Chuck Farsworth
E-mail Address: cfarsworth@pepper.com
Logon Information
User Name: cfarsworth@pepper.com
Password: ********
Logon using SPA: Unchecked
Server Information
Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.pepper.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.pepper.com |
Navigate to the Email
Account Setup area in your email client
(usually found on the "Tools" dropdown menu --> "Email
Accounts") and type
your information into the appropriate boxes as seen here

When finished click the
"Test Account Settings" button. You should receive
all passing green check marks. If you do not, you
may have to click on the "More Settings" button and
navigate to to the "Outgoing Server" tab and check the
box that reads "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication" as seen here:
